This week, we are releasing an early edition of our weekly NAHU podcast featured in the Washington Update on Fridays. Following yesterday's announcement by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that they will not be holding a vote on the Graham-Cassidy plan to repeal and replace the ACA, we are publishing our podcast as an early edition to help keep NAHU members informed on what we could expect next in regards to health reform.
On this week's podcast, NAHU Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy M. Buckner, Vice Presidents of Congressional Affairs John Greene and Chris Hartmann, and host Director of Policy Engagement Dan Samson help answer the many questions raised by the defeat of the Graham-Cassidy proposal, including: Where do we go from here? Is there any hope for bipartisan market stability? Will healthcare make its way into tax reform? And, what happens with future reconciliation vehicles?
