Congress is a week away from closing out its 115th Session as policymakers negotiate the details on the budget bill to avoid a partial government shutdown next Friday. While they work out these issues, House Republicans are engaged in a final effort to advance their Tax Reform 2.0 legislation, which includes delays of the health insurance tax and Cadillac Tax. On this week's episode of the NAHU Healthcare Happy Hour, NAHU Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy M. Buckner and Vice President of Congressional Affairs Chris Hartmann review the prospects of advancing these delays before the end of the year in the midst of the budget shutdown. They also discuss the key issues expected to make up next year’s healthcare agenda, being set by Senate Republicans and Congressional Democrats, who will control the House for the first time since the ACA was passed.
