Policy and Political Prognosticating on the Healthcare Happy Hour

May 25, 2018  |  By: NAHU

Congress has renewed interest in healthcare legislation with the passage of the “Right to Try” bill and has tentatively set the schedule to consider the dozens of opioid response bills intended to address the epidemic. In addition, this week conservative activists released their principles ahead of what they hope will be yet another attempt by Congress to repeal and replace the ACA before the November elections. NAHU’s Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy M. Buckner and Vice President of Congressional Affairs Chris Hartmann join the Healthcare Happy Hour podcast this week to share their insights on the potential for another repeal/replace attempt and for other healthcare legislation to be advanced through the remainder of the year, as well as their prognosis on the November elections.
