ACA Repeal/Replace  |  Single-Payer

The bipartisan push for health reform came to a crashing halt this week after attention shifted toward the Graham-Cassidy proposal to repeal and replace the ACA. NAHU has many significant concerns about this proposal and what it could mean for the future of employer-sponsored insurance and the role of agents and brokers. On this week’s podcast, NAHU Vice Presidents of Congressional Affairs John Greene and Chris Hartmann describe how the Graham-Cassidy proposal would work, how and when the funds are redistributed, what would happen to the health insurance markets before the plan is designed to take effect, and whether this proposal could have major unintended consequences, like leading to the adoption of single-payer or a public option in states like California and New York. To hear their thoughts and what the Graham-Cassidy plan would mean for your clients and the overall agent/broker community, listen to the podcast.
