Tommy McDonald is a vice president at MarshBerry and has a key role within its financial advisory practice. His primary responsibilities include developing new client relationships, providing advice and counsel while delivering consulting services designed to help clients create value and accomplish their goals within their businesses. These activities include developing merger & acquisition ("M&A") advisory relationships, business planning, key strategic relationship management, organic growth best practices, valuation enhancement strategies, financial management and perpetuation modeling.
Tommy is also responsible for leading strategic discussions during
MarshBerry’s executive Peer Exchange Networking Group, Connect. In 2017, Tommy was named to Insurance Business America’s “Young Guns,” which recognizes individuals younger than 35 who are inspiring their peers with their expertise and passion for the industry. Tommy is a frequent keynote speaker at national conferences, broker association meetings, insurance carrier elite meetings and executive leadership forums. He has written many articles for leading insurance publications and is a frequent contributor to MarshBerry’s proprietary publication, CounterPoint.
Tommy joined MarshBerry in 2008 as a financial analyst, playing a major role in preparing valuation reports, perpetuation plans, compensation projects, sales management engagements and strategic planning. In 2009, Tommy was promoted to product manager of the firm’s proprietary sales management technology, responsible for product vision, implementation and business development. From 2012-2016, Tommy held a leadership position for MarshBerry’s peer exchange networks and was responsible for new partner development, product design and strategy.
Professionally, he currently maintains Series 62 and 63 FINRA Registrations through MarshBerry Capital, Inc., the affiliated FINRA-registered Broker/Dealer of Marsh, Berry & Co., Inc.
Prior to joining MarshBerry, Tommy held a position with a national, Fortune 200 home building company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from John Carroll University.
