State Individual Mandate Reporting

Do you represent a business with 2019 health coverage information reporting obligations in New Jersey? If you or your client is an employer in any state who provides health coverage and has employees in New Jersey, you must ensure that the state of New Jersey receives any required 1095 document for each New Jersey resident you employ! Many national ACA reporting providers are not planning to file health coverage information with the state of New Jersey on behalf of their employer clients for 2019, and many employers do not realize this. Instead, depending on their vendor, many businesses from all over the country will need to self-report health coverage data to New Jersey about resident employees by March 31, 2020. Jessica Waltman, principal at Forward Health Consulting, and Jennifer Berman J.D., MBA, CEO of MZQ Consulting, went into detail about this issue and explained exactly how to navigate the situation so that you and your clients remain in compliance.
