The legislative calendar is narrowing as Summer draws to a close and Fall begins, meaning that Congress is running out of time to pass major legislation before the end of the year to campaign on in 2020. This includes two of their biggest priorities—prescription drug reform and surprise billing. On this week’s episode, NAHU’s Chris Hartmann and John Greene join us to look at the major hurdles for advancing both of these issues in the coming months as lawmakers and their staff must prioritize the issues while also dealing with a major budget battle to avert another government shutdown. John and Chris also provide an update on the Medicare Plan Finder and recent actions taken by NAHU to ease that transition, as well as how NAHU can help members stay informed on the healthcare proposals of the 2020 election cycle.
