The past several years NAHU has launched an aggressive push for the preservation of employer-sponsored insurance (ESI) and has called on members to reach out to your legislators to urge them not to make changes to the tax treatment of ESI. Our efforts have paid off so far after House Republicans released their tax reform proposal that does not make any changes to the employer exclusion of health insurance, ensuring that your clients will continue to be able to receive the same high quality health insurance. On this week’s installment, NAHU Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy M. Buckner and Vice Presidents of Congressional Affairs John Greene and Chris Hartmann discuss what was included in the tax reform package, as well as the federal rulemaking that came out over the past week and the latest news on the lawsuit challenging the ACA’s cost sharing reduction program.
