January 31 was the last day for the California Assembly to pass bills introduced in 2021, including AB 1400 – a bill that would have established a single-payer healthcare system for all California residents… had it passed. Thankfully that bill did not pass, due in large part to the efforts of our guests this week. On this week’s episode of the Healthcare Happy Hour, we are joined by the legislative chair of our California statewide chapter, Dawn McFarland, along with legislative advocate and chapter lobbyist Faith Borges, to discuss the bill and how the initiative was successfully defeated
